Nothing Better

Here we are at the end of this story

Looking for a new and brighter beginning.

It's been so long that we've lived out this chapter

I can hardly believe that it's ending.

But we can't stop time as it goes along.

Nothing can hinder its path.

Another day, a different song

To get us by through this world's wrath.

You are there and I am here

In another life than the one we shared.

We all smile to make the days worth living

But sometimes we still feel lonely and scared.

The new and umfamiliar has many effects.

We must all become who we are meant to be.

We must give up the old for something better

Give up blindness to see.

Sometimes we wonder if we'll ever feel right again

If we ever will have what we need.

What will we do with this life we are given?

Will we make our own way or follow where others lead?

One thing is true through all of this time.

This is something that many miss.

When we lose something good, it's for something better to come along.

There is nothing better than this.
